All categories of personal information collected by ZOVA exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances.
Information obtained as part of the SMS consent process, including your phone number and opt-in status, will not be shared with third parties. We will not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share your phone number or mobile opt-in data with any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS Terms & Conditions (ZOVA)
Program description
ZOVA is a US-based social events platform. We send transactional SMS messages to users who have created an account at zovaapp.com and verified their phone number.
Opt-in mechanism
Providing a phone number is required to create a ZOVA account at zovaapp.com/register. Immediately after submitting the signup form, ZOVA sends a one-time 6-digit verification code via SMS to that number. Entering that code on the verification screen (zovaapp.com/verify-phone) completes signup and is the explicit act of consent to receive the transactional SMS messages described below. At signup the user also checks a consent box reading: "I agree to ZOVA's Terms of Service & Liability Waiver and Privacy Policy. I understand that if I add a phone number I may receive transactional SMS messages from ZOVA, described in the Privacy Policy."
Message types
- Phone verification codes during signup or when changing a phone number.
- Event notifications: reminders, cancellations, time/venue changes, access updates for events the user has RSVP'd to, purchased tickets for, or is hosting.
- Ticket confirmations after a paid purchase.
- Invitations triggered by an event host choosing to invite a guest by phone number.
- Security alerts for suspicious account activity.
ZOVA does not send marketing or promotional SMS under any circumstances.

- ZOVA reminder: Rooftop Sunset Sessions starts tomorrow at 6:00 PM at 1 SE 3rd Ave, Miami. Your ticket: zovaapp.com/tickets. Reply STOP to opt out.
- ZOVA: Alex invited you to Summer Housewarming Party on May 3. RSVP: zovaapp.com/invite/abc123. Reply STOP to opt out.
- ZOVA: Your ticket to Neon Nights Vol. 7 is confirmed. QR + details: zovaapp.com/tickets. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Message frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with account activity — typically a few messages per week at most for an active user. Message and data rates may apply. These are charged by the user's mobile carrier, not by ZOVA.
Opt-out (STOP)
Users may reply STOP at any time to any ZOVA SMS message to opt out of all non-essential SMS messages. One-time security codes explicitly requested (login, phone verification) may still be delivered after opting out; to stop those as well, remove the phone number from the ZOVA profile at zovaapp.com/profile. To re-subscribe, reply START or UNSTOP, or update and re-verify the phone number.

Supported carriers
Messages delivered via Plivo. Supported on all major US wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and their MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy and data sharing
The phone number is used only to deliver the transactional messages listed above. We share it only with our SMS infrastructure provider (Plivo) strictly to deliver those messages, and with payment processors (Stripe) where required for fraud prevention on a ticket purchase. Both act as processors on our behalf, not as third-party marketers. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
